Queens Community Board 6 To Host October Meeting This Week

Board members and the public will be briefed on the latest developments in Forest Hills, Rego Park and Kew Gardens at the Wednesday meeting.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — Queens Community Board 6 will host its first monthly meeting Wednesday since the state enacted new restrictions in the region the board oversees, one of several coronavirus hotspots across New York City.

District Manager Frank P. Gulluscio and Community Board 6 Chair Alexa Weitzman will brief board members and the public on the latest developments in Forest Hills, Rego Park and Kew Gardens and will discuss budget priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.

Also on the agenda are votes on co-naming the 68th Avenue and 108th Street for Rabbi Asher Murciano, a permit for a new Planet Fitness on Queens Boulevard, an extension of term of variance for a building at 61-01 Alderton St., and three liquor license applications.

Members of the public who wish to speak at the meeting must email their comments in writing to QN06@cb.nyc.gov by 3 p.m. Wednesday. Individuals must observe a 3-minute time limit, and organization representatives get 5 minutes to speak.

The meeting will take place on Zoom.
