FOREST HILLS – When it comes to scoring a good home deal, some neighborhoods are harder to land a good deal on than others.

One neighborhood in Queens ranked among the best neighborhoods where homebuyers can get an upper hand in home price negotiations, according to StreetEasy data.

Rego Park was ranked the fifth-best neighborhood in the city for negotiating home prices. Over 30% of the listing in Rego park cut prices in the three months through September, according to the data.

A typical listing in Rego Park spent 77 days on the market, which represents a three-week increase from a year ago. Single/multi-family home listings and co-ops stayed on the market longer than any other homes.

The median asking price in Queens was $639,000, which is 35% lower than the citywide median of $980,000, according to StreetEasy.

Morningside Heights, Tribeca, and Greenpoint were also among the neighborhoods where buyers are most likely to get an upper hand in negotiation.
