9-Year-Old Kid Robbed In Fort Greene: Police
Two men forcibly stole $282 in cash from the child on Adelphi Street, cops said.
FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A nine-year-old child was robbed by two men in front of an apartment building in Fort Greene last Tuesday, cops said. According to an NYPD spokesperson, two men approached the kid around 5:30 p.m. in front of 401 Adelphi St., between Fulton and Greene, "forcibly" stole $282 in cash from him and escaped.
Cops described the suspects as black men, but they had no other descriptors. The child suffered no injuries, police said. Police didn't know why the child was carrying that much cash, or why the men would target such a young victim. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
