Brooklyn Tech To Host Citywide High School Fair

Finding the right high school is one of the toughest decisions parents and students have to make. Luckily, the city Department of Education plans to make that choice a bit easier.

Brooklyn Technical High School will host the annual Citywide High School Fair this Saturday, Sept. 24, and Sunday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At the Citywide High School Fair this weekend, staff and students from the city’s public high schools will provide information and answer questions about their schools.

The fair also will include two workshops about the high school admissions process and two workshops on how to apply to the City’s nine specialized high schools.

Eighth- and ninth-grade students applying to high school this year are strongly encouraged to attend the fair. Seventh grade students who want to start learning about their high school options also are invited.

Families also can attend borough high school fairs on Oct. 22 and 23 and workshops in October to learn more about high school options and the admissions process. Individual schools will hold open houses for interested students in the weeks following the fair.
