CUNY Students Stage Walkout In Solidarity With Wall Street Protesters

CUNY students at campuses throughout the city will join neigborhood activists, union members and ordinary citizens from Brooklyn to Portland, Ore. and many other places in between in throwing in their lot behind the .

Students will be walking out of classes at noon today in a nationwide show of solidarity.

The list of participating schools includes Brooklyn College, which is part of the CUNY system, as well as Kingsborough Community College.

Members of the community are invited to join Families United for Racial and Economic Equality at their headquarters on Willoughby Street to show their support.

No word yet if students at Long Island University's Brooklyn Campus planned to join in today's walkout.
