Annual Fort Greene Park Tree Lighting Rescheduled For Sunday
The 5th annual event will feature free hot cocoa, cookies and selfies with Santa.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN -- The 5th annual tree lighting in Fort Greene Park has been rescheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9.
The event, originally planned for this week, will begin at 4 p.m on Sunday at the northwest corner of the park, near the Myrtle Avenue and St. Edwards Street entrance.
Attendees can enjoy free hot cocoa and cookies from local Myrtle Avenue restaurants, selfies with Santa Claus and live holiday music as they get ready for the tree lighting to begin at 5 p.m. Collections will also be held for toy drives to help local families. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the event.

The tree lighting is sponsored by Apple Bank and organized by the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and the Fort Greene Park Conservancy.
