Antonio Baglivo, Brooklyn Teen, Killed in Upstate Drivers-Ed Crash
He had left Brooklyn for a safer neighborhood upstate.

The widely mourned driver’s-ed crash that took the lives of three teens in Edenville, New York, on Tuesday has a local victim.
Antonio Baglivo, 16, was born and raised in Brooklyn but reportedly moved upstate to live with his aunt and uncle in the small town of Goshen about three years ago.
“We moved him out of the city to keep him safe,” his uncle, John Fixshen, told the Times Herald-Record, a local paper. “This should never have happened.”

Fixshen described his nephew to the Herald-Record as “the gentlest of souls. We called him ‘the man-child’ because he was so big, about 5-foot-9 and stocky, with a full beard. He was funny, he was social, but he always stuck up for the little guy.”
According to local reporters, Baglivo played varsity football at his high school in Goshen and was known as a great student.
Baglivo is listed on Facebook as a former student of Middle School 577 in Williamsburg.
