Barclays To Host More Premier Boxing Champion Fights Live

The Brooklyn venue announced it will continue putting on nationally televised fights in 2017.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — Barclays Center said it is excited to host several live boxing series this year as part of the Premier Boxing Champions Series (PBC), it said. The venue announced Saturday's live fight and said more are in the works.

This Saturday, a showdown between Danny "Swift" Garcia and Keith "One-Time" Thurman will be presented live on CBS at 9 p.m. The next fight at Barclays Center is to be announced soon, according to the PBC press release.

In 2016, Barclays hosted six PBC fights that were filmed live, like Thurman vs. Shawn Porter in June 2016 and Carl Frampton's victory over Leo Santa Cruz in July 2016 to become world featherweight.
