'Black Friday Brunch' Is a Thing Now
Fort Greene's new Italian homemade pasta shop has a Black Friday Brunch special going this week.

FORT GREENE, NY — Black Friday wouldn't be complete in Brooklyn without an official Black Friday Brunch.
At Fort Greene's new Italian wine bar and restaurant, LaRina, located at 387 Myrtle Ave. near the border with Clinton Hill, a Black Friday Brunch special will be served Nov. 25 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. — featuring as much homemade pasta as you can stomach.
Some highlights from the menu:

- Baked eggs in tomato sauce with mozzarella, red onion, basil and house-made focaccia
- Creamy burrata split in half and stuffed with hard boiled eggs mixed with capera, cornichons, paprika, lemon, and olive oil
- An Italian fried chicken sandwich called Fried Chicken Cotoletta, with spicy tomato fradiavolo-mascarpone-honey spread on filone
LaRina has its homemade pasta on sale to take home as well. (The taste of its smoked spaghetti is one of the richest indulges you could find in Brooklyn). And if you're feeling splurgy, buy a special LaRina holiday gift bag ($75) that you can fill with a mashup of whichever pastas and sauces you want.
So skip the big-box mobs and do Black Friday the Brooklyn way: Spend all your cash on the bougiest, tastiest, most boutique brunch spot you can find.
