Community Board 2 will hold its monthly parks, land use and transportation committee meetings next week.

Community Board 2 (CB2) will hold its monthly parks, land use and transportation committee meetings next week, at 6:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. The meetings will be held virtually using the Webex platform.

Standard Meeting Features
All committee meetings of Community Board 2 begin with the approval of the agenda, introduction of the committee officers and an invitation for the public to comment on any matters being considered for a vote. The meetings include the approval of the previous month's meeting minutes, a chairperson’s report, other business, and a community forum during which the public may speak.

All in-person meetings of Community Board 2 are held at locations that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Department of Parks and Recreation Borough Commissioner Martin Maher or his representatives will provide the parks committee and guests with an update on parks department capital projects in Community District 2.

Land Use Committee

The committee will review an application to the Landmarks Preservation Commission for a Certificate of Appropriateness and an application for a Petition for Revocable Consent from the Department of Transportation.
Certificate of Appropriateness
110 Bridge Street (Thomson Meter Company Building — Individual Landmark — Application is to modify the openings at the first floor on the south (secondary) façade, replace two existing stairs with new stairs and one accessibility lift, install a new fence for code compliance next to an existing stairwell to the basement level, and install two new canopies over the redesigned entrances.
Petition for Revocable Consent
69 Greene Avenue — Fort Greene Historic District — Application is to construct in the public right-of-way a stoop from grade to the first floor and a new front areaway with bluestone paving, concrete steps to a cellar entrance, a 34-inch high iron fence with gate and a planting box with storage for garbage.

Informational Presentation
The committee and guests will also receive a presentation on a proposal to transfer development rights from a City-owned parcel beneath the Manhattan Bridge to the owner of 69 Adams Street. Raymond H. Levin, special counsel at Herrick, Feinstein LLP, and Ricky Da Costa, assistant vice president for government and community relations at the Economic Development Corporation, will make the presentation.
The ULURP (Uniform Land Use Review Procedure) application for the development rights transfer is anticipated to be certified as complete in the spring. Community Board 2 will schedule a formal public hearing at that time.
Following the presentation on 69 Adams Street, the committee will discuss its portion of the CB2 Statements of Community District Needs and Community Board Budget Requests for Fiscal Year 2022.

Transportation and Public Safety Committee

The Department of Transportation (DOT) will provide an update on four temporary bike lanes in Community District 2, on Smith and Jay streets, on Ashland Place, on 4th Avenue and on Navy Street, between Flushing Avenue and Sands Street. Representing DOT will be Hayes Alexander Lord, director of DOT's Bicycle Program, and Patrick Kennedy and Preston Johnson, project managers in the bike unit.
During the community board's May 25, 2020 Execuutive Committee meeting, Boerum Hill resident Paul Schreiber proposed five changes to the Brooklyn Bridge promenade to create more space for pedestrians and cyclists. Mr. Schreiber will present his proposals to the transportation committee for consideration.
Finally, the committee will discuss its portion of the CB2 _Statements of Community District Needs and Community Board Budget Requests_ for Fiscal Year 2022.
