BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — This week wasn’t an easy one. New York City suffered its biggest terrorist attack since 9/11 and lost two major local news outlets after its journalists unionized. So let’s all take the weekend to recuperate. And celebrate a city that always keeps on going.

What: Chris Rock performs the Total Blackout Tour in his first performance in Brooklyn in almost 10 years.

First Frightdays: Invasion Of The Body Snatchers Screening

What: First Frightdays presents the next film in its monthly horror series. This remake of a Hollywood classic (which features the wonderful line, “I never knew fear until I kissed Becky”) stars Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams and Jeff Goldblum.

What: Star Chamber presents an immersive theater experience about a young girl’s experience of witchcraft.

What: International music and artwork will be on display when the Brooklyn Museum opens it doors for its monthly open house bash.
