Well-coordinated thieves target vehicles

In a scene right out of the film, "The Thomas Crown Affair," a security guard watched helplessly on Feb. 12 at 3:35 a.m. as a van opened the security gate at Vs Parking Garage Corp. on Park Avenue, drove up the ramp to the second level and unloaded four thieves who proceeded to grab three parked motorcycles. Once the vehicles were in the van, it sped away onto Washington Avenue in an unknown direction. All of the men wore sunglasses, the security guard told police.

Man and woman arrested for smartphone rob

When a woman called her phone and demanded that the two people who took it return the device, the robbers threatened to beat her up. On Feb. 5 at 1:05 a.m., the woman confronted the thieves at 152 N. Elliott Walk in Whitman Houses, at which time the culprits, identified by police as Regina Fisher, 45, and Kevin Simpson, 50, punched her and threw her to the ground. Police arrested the couple later that morning.

Van stolen with keys still in ignition

While making a delivery at 141 Greene Ave. on Feb. 7 at 10:20 a.m., a driver left the keys in his 2004 Dodge Caravan only to discover an unknown suspect entering the vehicle and then attempting to drive away. The owner tried to stop the car thief by standing in front of the vehicle but was ran over as the van sped southbound on Waverly Avenue and then eastbound on Atlantic Avenue. The owner, who was transported from the scene to Kings County Hospital, sustained injuries to the left hip, along with cuts to the right ankle in the ram attack.

12-year-old jumped for phone

In the first of two similar incidents involving the robbing of a pre-teen by a juvenile suspect, an unknown suspect robbed a 12-year-old boy on Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. in the vicinity of Greene Avenue and Cumberland Street of his iPhone after lifting his shirt and revealing the handle of firearm in his waistband. The suspect fled on foot southbound on Cumberland towards Fulton Street. The boy was uninjured in the incident.

Another pre-teen targeted; arrest made

In the second attack in two days involving a 12-year-old at the same location, the victim refused to give the robber money on Feb. 8 at 3:30 p.m., at which time, the perp pulled the boy's front jacket and flashed what police described as a black imitation firearm. The boy then ran away from the scene. Police later arrested a 14-year-old in connection with the incident.

Fight over phone at Fort Greene Houses

On Feb. 10 at 5 p.m., a 14-year-old suspect attacked a 20-year-old woman at Ingersoll Houses, hitting her in the face and then grabbing her T Mobile Galaxy 2 phone out of her hand.

Three men arrested for Atlantic Terminal attack

At 2 Hanson Place near Atlantic Terminal, three men punched a 26-year-old man and threatened him with a razor blade for his iTouch. After breaking his headphones, the men took the device and ran away. Police later arrested the men, identified as Jeremy Prosper, 20, Luis Villot, 25, and Chester Cruz, 24, in connection with the robbery.

Man collared for January robbery

Police arrested the suspect in a robbery at Atlantic Terminal Houses, Derrick Everett, 47, on Feb. 12. Everett is charged with threatening a 46-year-old man with a firearm and taking his cellphone, an unknown amount of cash and a MetroCard on Jan. 27.

Man's girlfriend attacked by knife-wielding woman

While walking his girlfriend to the store in the early morning hours of Feb. 7, a woman ran into the couple at Dekalb Avenue and St. Felix Street, brandishing a silver kitchen knife that she threatened to use against the other woman. When the man tried to intervene, the knife slashed the palm of his right hand. The woman fled in an unknown direction.

Teen punches officer in the face

While a female officer escorted her out of 39 Auburn Place on Feb. 8 at 8:05 a.m., a 16-year-old woman turned around and punched her in the face. The officer sustained a scrape underneath her right eye and a swollen eyelid.

Cartons of cigarettes stolen from delivery trailer

As he made a delivery at 379 Myrtle Ave. on Feb. 10, an unknown person(s) entered a trailer through an unlocked passenger side door and took an unknown amount of cigarettes. The deliveryman discovered the crime while making a delivery later at a business on Broadway.

Jewels filched after photo shoot

Shortly after a photo shoot at 63 Flushing Ave. on Feb. 8, an employee discovered four Odelia diamond necklaces missing. The employee told police that after the photo shoot, the jewelry was taken back to a sample room to be scanned back in at approximately 6 p.m. The listed value of the items is $6,346.

Bike stolen from apartment building basement

A man reported a $1,200 Giant Model 4 Hybrid bicycle stolen on Feb. 12 after discovering it missing after parking it in a common area in the basement of 27 Quincy St. a few days earlier.

A move-in surprise

Also at 27 Quincy, a man moving into an apartment on Feb. 11 discovered his $3,000 Nikon camera stolen after leaving it unattended in the lobby at approximately 6 p.m.

Feb. 6, 2 p.m. at 185 Park Ave.: 1993 Honda motorcycle with New York plates reported stolen.
Feb. 7, 12:30 p.m. at 110 Washington Ave.: 2002 Econoline with New York plates reported stolen.
Feb. 7, 10 p.m. at 432 Carlton Ave: Nissan Sentra with New York plates reported stolen.
Feb. 7, 11:18 p.m. at 260 Hall St.: 1999 Nissan Maxima with New York plates broken into; side window smashed, ignition switch removed.
