Dec. 19: Buyback Program Takes Dozens of Weapons Off Streets

1. The New York Police Department announced that 182 weapons were taken off the streets as a result of the , which concluded Saturday. Among the firearms recovered was a Tec-9 automatic, a Colt M-4 assault rifle and another assault rifle with the bayonet. Seven of the firearms were loaded, according to police.
