Dec. 6: Report Finds Access to Fresh Food Limited In Fort Greene-Clinton Hill

Comprehensive community food assessment made in collaboration with local residents and advocates.

1. The Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project this week released a study finding that access to quality, affordable fresh fruit and other produce is limited, SNAP/EBT acceptance by higher-quality retailers is low and residents are ready and eager to learn more about ways of improving their own nutrition. 2. Dr. Arielle Ochoa‐Fenig, a prominent pain management physician, will speak on the focus topic, , at Brooklyn Hospital this afternoon.

3. The city Department of Environmental Protection will hold a free at Borough Hall at 6 p.m. for business owners, private property owners and organizations.

4. A screening of , a first-hand look at the devastation from Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward, will be held at P.S. 11, 419 Waverly Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and will benefit P.S. 11's Parent Teacher Association.

5. Alternate side parking rules are in effect.
