Prince Party Planned for Fort Greene Park
Come out to the park this Friday for a 3-hour DJ set dedicated to the legendary musician, plus a late-night screening of "Purple Rain."

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — City officials have ensured that Fort Greene Park will be Prince central this Friday, April 29.
A 3-hour DJ set, consisting entirely of Prince jams, will be followed by a screening of his 1984 film "Purple Rain."
The music starts at 5 p.m., and the film projector will fire up by 8 p.m.
The event is being organized and funded by NYC Parks, the Fort Greene Park Conservancy, Fort Greene's New York City Council representative Laurie Cumbo and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.
For those craving even more Prince, Brokelyn is keeping track of upcoming tribute events throughout the borough.
