HEADS UP: Simulated Explosions Planned Tuesday Night in Brooklyn Navy Yard

Expect three bangs within a few seconds, similar to fireworks, reports say.

A film crew will be simulating two explosions in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, near Flushing and Cumberland avenues, sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, according to city officials.

The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment told NBC New York that the resulting fireballs could fly as high as 20 feet.

“The sound will be somewhat minimal, comprising three bangs within seconds, similar to a firework,” the news station reported.
