Hillary Clinton Speaking at Brooklyn Navy Yard Tuesday Night

Clinton has reportedly secured the delegates needed to become America's first female nominee for president. This could be her victory lap.

BROOKLYN NAVY YARD, N.Y. — Hillary Clinton will speak at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Tuesday night, one day after multiple media outlets reported that she had secured the delegates needed to clinch the Democratic Party's nomination for president.

Election watchers are predicting tonight's speech will be something of a victory lap.

The speech will take place at the Duggal Greenhouse, located at 63 Flushing Ave. — the very same fancy warehouse where Clinton debated her Brooklyn-born rival, Bernie Sanders, back in April.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Voters in New Jersey, California, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota are headed to the polls Tuesday in some of the last state primary elections of the 2016 campaign. Clinton is expected to start speaking in Brooklyn as soon as the night's election results start rolling in, around maybe 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. (We'll keep you updated on timing.)

Members of the public hoping to attend in person may be out of luck: As of Tuesday morning, the RSVP limit for the venue had already been reached.

But Clinton's expected victory speech will likely be broadcast on all the big channels — CNN, NBC, etc. For those of you without TV, we'll be posting a live blog and a live stream of the event here (if we can find one), so check back tonight.

On Monday evening, the Associated Press called the primary race for Clinton on the basis that she'd won enough pledged delegates and had enough support among the Democratic Party's unpledged superdelegates to become the party's presidential nominee.

Still, the Sanders campaign has pledged to fight on. His campaign leaders promised to continue trying to convince superdelegates to switch their support to the underdog.
