Jan. 11: Community Board 2 Meeting Tonight

1. Community Board 2 will hold its at the Polytechnic Institute's Dibner Building at 6 MetroTech Center in Downtown Brooklyn. Among the items on the agenda is a vote on the board Land Use Committee's unanimous approval of a "Zone Green" that will remove zoning impediments to the construction and retrofitting of green buildings.

2. Also on the agenda will be a proposal to eliminate left turns by trucks from Atlantic Avenue onto Classon Avenue. due to ongoing Atlantic Yards construction has been a major issue for Classon Avenue residents, led by members of the CLEXY Block Association. Also up for discussion is a planned bike lane as part of a plan to remove one lane to motor vehicle traffic.

3. will hold a from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in St. Luke's gymnasium, located at 259 Washington Ave. between DeKalb and Willoughby avenues.

4. will host , with an introduction by Solid Objects editors Max Winter and Lisa Lubasch.
