June 22: Whither Same-Sex Marriage Vote?

Waiting game in state Senate continues as Legislature heads into double overtime.

With holding up the State Legislature , all eyes are now on the Senate as it continues to grapple with one of the last items on this session's agenda — a bill legalizing gay marriage in New York. 

Now there is just one question: will the vote take place today, tomorrow or during a special legislative session stretching far into the summer?

As one equal rights group pointed out in a tweet last night, June 22 has particular significance for many LGBT people throughout the world.
