Nov. 29: CUNY Votes to Approve Tuition Increases

Amid protests, trustees pass series of hikes stretching through 2015.

1. Even as the economy continues to strap parents and students alike, the New York Times reported Monday that trustees of The City University of New York voted to approve a series of $300 tuition increases taking effect in the next five years. By the 2015-16 school year, undergraduate tuition will be $6,330. 

2. Brooklyn Museum's series, The Dark Side of the Earth: Crime in World Cinema, continues today with a screening of ',' depicting a young man who murders a taxi driver without provocation.
