NYCHA Residents of 35th City Council District Hold 'Meet the Candidates' Forum
Night will also serve as a voter registration drive.

Three NYCHA Residents Associations — Ingersoll Residents Association, Whitman Residents Association and Farragut Residents Association— have organized a City Council 'Meet the Candidates' forum and voter registration drive for the 35th District at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18.
The forum will provide the residents from the three developments as well as community residents from all over the district the opportunity to meet each candidate running for City Council and to hear each candidate’s plans on key neighborhood issues.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to register to vote at the event.
"This forum is designed to be a night of empowerment for the NYCHA residents of the 35th district. With over 10,000 eligible voters within these three developemts we are in a position to rock any vote!" said Dominque Bryant, president of the Ingersoll Residents Association in a statement.

Residents will have an opportunity to submit questions for City Council candidates for the moderated forum by emailing them here by midnight on April 17. There will also be a brief question and answer period at the end of the forum. The forum will be moderated by DJ Ralph McDaniels, VJ and host of Video Music Box.
The forum will be held at the Ingersoll Community Center at 177 Myrtle Ave.
