Oct. 17: 'New Old Things' As BAM Turns 150

Celebrating a major cultural landmark by digging through the attic.

1. Brooklyn Academy of Music has a storied history. And with the borough's premier cultural institution marking its 150 year, chances are some memorabilia—an old program or two of a remembered great performance—has landed in a crawlspace somewhere. 2. Polish Bar in Brooklyn will be closed for renovations Oct. 17-19. Their Vanderbilt Avenue location in Prospect Heights will remain open.
