An Outdoor Fall Celebration Of The Arts Takes Place Saturday In Fort Greene
The family-friendly/free arts celebration takes place 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, at the corner of Flatbush Ave. and Schermerhorn St.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — This Saturday a free, all-day outdoors celebration of the arts will take place in Fort Greene complete with a pedestrian-only plaza sponsored by Alloy Development, the New York State Dept. of Transportation and the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership.
Gather your friends and family and enjoy ballet, hip-hop, Soca and Georgian dance performances. Live bands will also perform a diverse array of musical genres from opera to rock. Children's activities are planned as well according to organizers.
The event takes place Saturday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Temple Square, at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn.

The event is being put on by some of Brooklyn's preeminent cultural institutions including BAM, the Brooklyn Music School, Brooklyn Arts Council, Brooklyn Ballet and others with support from the offices of Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and NYC Council Member Laurie Cumbo.
This event is part of the Department of Transportation's One-Day Plaza program which temporarily transforms public areas into pedestrian-friendly, car-free zone for the neighborhood to enjoy.
