Saturday: Free Fresh Produce in Fort Greene for Public Housing Residents
Food will be available for residents living in the Farragut, Ingersoll and Whitman Houses

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — Residents of the Farragut Houses in DUMBO, the Ingersoll Houses in Fort Greene, and the Whitman Houses in Downtown Brooklyn can get free fresh produce this Saturday.
Bags of fresh fruits and vegetables will be provided on June 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Navy Street and Nassau Street.
The food donation is provided by City Harvest and is organized by the Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project.

The food donations will continue to take place at the same time and location each third Saturday of the month between now and November. A winter donation location is currently being determined.
First time visitors must register with organizers. Registration begins at 9 a.m. To register, please bring a photo I.D. and a document showing that you live in one of the three housing developments listed above.

The next scheduled donation date is Saturday, July 16.
