The Early Word: Con Ed Workers' Health Insurance Reinstated

A rare glimmer of optimism in the labor struggle at utility giant Con Edison occurred last weekend with management agreeing to reinstate the health insurance of around 8,000 locked-out employees and their families, according to the New York Times. However, even with  on the city's stressed-out power grid, there's been no sign of any other movement between the two sides—with pension cuts for newly-hired employees reportedly the main sticking point.
