The Early Word: Congrats, Camille Yorrick

Local music producer proves it's enough to be nominated.

1. With news Saturday of the sudden death of Whitney Houston, it was a tragic weekend for many music lovers. But at last night's Grammy Awards presentation—which included a musical tribute to the power of Houston's legendary voice by Jennifer Hudson—there were at least a few good developments. That list included the nomination of Fort Greene music producer Camille Yorrick for her work on Beyonce's "I am... World" TV special. And though Yorrick didn't take home a trophy, it goes without saying that we're all really proud of our very own Brooklyn emissary to Hollywood. Congrats, Camille!
