This Weekend: Enjoy Local Food, Music and Art at the Nostrand Avenue Art Stroll

The event runs Thursday through Saturday.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — On June 16, 17 and 18, visitors to Fort Greene can enjoy special offerings from Nostrand Avenue's artistic and culinary community, courtesy of this year's Nostrand Avenue Art Stroll.

The Stroll runs between Maple Street and Rutland Road, and will feature live music, art and food from local businesses. Here's a schedule of events to look forward to:

Thursday, June 16:

  • Little Mo Wine (1125 Nostrand Ave.) will host a free wine tasting from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Jazz saxophonist Jeff King will play a free set from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Desserts by Michael Allen (1149 Nostrand Ave.)

Friday, June 17:

  • Little Mo Wine will host another free wine tasting from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., this time focused on wines from Austria
  • The I.M. Pastry Studio (1131 Nostrand Ave.) will host a photography exhibit from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. showcasing the work of Courtney Mooney, who has trained her camera on the Prospect-Lefferts Gardens community.

Saturday, June 18:

  • A pop-up art sale will run throughout the day, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Mikey Likes It (199 Avenue A) will be selling ice cream and cup cakes at the I.M. Pastry Studio from 12 .m. to 3 p.m.
  • Expressions in Ceramics (309 Rutland Rd.) will run a Father's Day event from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., where for $15, kids can craft a ceramic creation for dad.
  • S&B Florists (1138 Nostrand Ave.) will host a potted plant sale from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • And Little Mo Wine will host another tasting from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., this time dedicated to rum and scotch.
