What Should Fill the Empty Space That Used To Be Tillie's?
We all know what could go there, but what should?

When officially in December, many of their loyal customers couldn't help but wonder about what might replace one of the borough's most beloved vegan coffeehouses.
From his old perch at Tillie's, this editor last month compiled a few suggestions, which are paraphrased here:
"A bike shop."

Since Tillie's owners cited a hefty increase in rent shortly after putting the business , anecdotal evidence points to a nationally-recognized chain with deep pockets taking the spot à la J.J.'s Navy Cocktail Lounge's apparent destiny .
So in the spirit of democracy enshrined not only by President Obama's State of the Union address, but also by the seemingly endless series of Republican presidential campaign debates—how's that for ?—we are taking the question to the people:
