Whither G Train? [POLL]

A vital link between Fort Greene-Clinton Hill and Park Slope is on the chopping block.

Love it, hate it—okay, mostly just hate it—the G train is a vital link for thousands of Fort Greene-Clinton Hill residents.

That's why plans to (once again) truncate the line at Smith and 9th Streets in Carroll Gardens has inspired more than a few neighborhood residents to sign a petition and perhaps call their elected officials.

And it seems to be working. Joining Democratic Assembly District Leader Lincoln Restler in demanding a reversal of the  following the completion of renovations on the Culver Line is Assemblyman Jim Brennan, D-Park Slope.

"It would be a serious loss—economically and in terms of forward-looking transportation planning—if this service were cut back to its pre-2009 levels," he said.
