Athletes Of Games For The Physically Challenged Get Free Bus Service

The 37th edition runs through Saturday at venues in Garden City and Uniondale.

GARDEN CITY, NY — NICE Bus is supporting athletes of the Games for the Physically Challenged.

Free shuttle service is being provided to participants and their families.

The 37th annual competition, which started Thursday, runs through June 3.

It takes place at the Mitchell Field Athletic Complex and Nassau Community College.

NICE will usher athletes and their families from the housing accommodations at Hofstra University to the events.

TransDev, NICE Bus' parent company, has donated $5,000 toward the Opening Ceremonies.

"NICE Bus is proud and pleased to continue our 12-year partnership with the Games for the Physically Challenged as both a financial sponsor and a provider of transportation for all the Athletes and Caregivers," said Jack Khzouz, CEO of NICE Bus.

Now in their 37th year, the Games for the Physically Challenged will attract more than 1000 athletes, from ages 5 to 21, from all across New York State.

Along with fixed route bus service to more than 80,000 riders per week, NICE Bus also provides paratransit service through Able-Ride.
