Au Pair Care Celebrates Exchange Day
Please attend the International Storytime and Book Exchange

Exchange Day is a day to celebrate the benefits of the exchange program, a program run by the Department of State to encourage and facilitate international cultural exchange. Exchange Day is a worldwide celebration of the power of international exchange.
Au pairs, young men and women from around the world benefit from living in the US with a host family for a year to experience the American lifestyle. Their host families benefit from learning about the au pair's country, customs, foods, holidays etc. Au pairs provide host families with childcare and child-related chores and are treated like family during their one year stay in the US.Lasting friendships are made through this program!
Sharing cultures is an extreme benefit to the participants of the program and also to their communities. Au Pair Care prides itself in the many ways in which au pairs give back to their communities while participating in the program. "We have found that au pairs are excited about the idea of volunteering while participating. They want to volunteer and help their communities. As a sponsoring agency we are happy to plan volunteer activities during their stay, supporting local charities by volunteering at soup kitchens, beach clean-up, food and clothing drives, to name a few." explained Au Pair Care Area Director, Ann Koster of Nassau County.
