Dragons Name Asst. Coach; Scheduling Open Tryouts For Players

The Dragons' first season for their new version begins in June.

UNIONDALE, NY — There's more personnel news for the New York Dragons, opening its inaugural season in June at the Nassau Coliseum.

Sean Tremblay has been the named the team's assistant coach. He was the first player signed by the original New York Dragons for than 20 years ago.

"I'm very excited," Tremblay said. "It's a full circle moment for me."

Tremblay is the person to join Gerald Filardi's coaching staff. The Dragon's will kickoff the inaugural Entertainment Football Association in June.

"He brings a ton of coaching experience as well as arena football experience," Filardi said.

The Dragons will hold open tryouts on April 8 and 9 at the U.S. Academy of Soccer in Farmingdale. Those interested in participating can register: nydragonsfootball.com.

Individual game tickets for the upcoming season go on sale next month.
