Siela Bynoe Wins Seat In State Senate

The Nassau County legislator faced lawyer Thomas Philip Montefinise​ in Tuesday's election.

WESTBURY, NY — Siela Bynoe has won her state Senate race, according to the Nassau County Board of Elections.

With all Election Districts reporting, Bynoe, the Nassau County Legislator, received 75,000 votes, or 56 percent of the electorate in the 6th District. Her Republican opponent, Thomas Philip Montefinise, got 48,950 votes, or 36 percent.

Montefinise worked as deputy county attorney in the Municipal Transaction Bureau for the Office of the Nassau County Attorney.
