Evercore Professionals Make A Community Impact On Long Island

Justin Resnick Is The Catalyst Bringing Everyone Together

Justin Resnick of Roslyn, a Managing Director of Evercore Private Capital Advisory organized more than fifty professionals from Evercore, a NYC-based global independent investment bank to stage the third annual Cleanup for a Cause. This day of community service and impact on May 15th benefitted Life's WORC and the Family Center For Achievement (www.lifesworc.org) (www.thefamilycenterforachievement.org). Mr. Resnick has been a long-time Board member of this non-profit organization, which provides a variety of services to more than 2000 people and their families with developmental disabilities and autism.

Starting off at the organization's Garden City headquarters, everyone was greeted by a Proclamation issued by Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman giving recognition and praise to Evercore's participants.

The Evercore volunteers visited five Life’s WORC residential homes as well as the HorseAbility therapeutic riding center in Old Westbury. "They got their hands dirty in a fun day of planting, gardening, and cleanup, and more importantly were able to connect directly with the people supported by the organization, bringing smiles, conversation, and better awareness of Life’s WORC’s mission," Justin Resnick describes. "From building vegetable and flower gardens to landscaping, the day was a reflection of the values at the heart of Life’s WORC — responsibility to one another, teamwork, and a shared commitment to growth and inclusion."

According to Tina Moreno, senior vice president of special events and donor development at Life's WORC, “Together, we demonstrated the potential when mission and service come together. Evercore's efforts are an excellent model for how other companies can make an impact by volunteering."

“I was incredibly impressed by how seamlessly and enthusiastically everyone worked together,” Justin Resnick continued. “It was a true reflection of the heart of the PCA team and the mission that defines the Evercore Volunteers program. The Evercore volunteers brought with them not only their time and energy, but also a spirit of collaboration and openness that made a lasting impression on the individuals and staff at each location.”
Life’s WORC Board Chair Vanessa Rogan expressed her appreciation to the volunteers.
“Life’s WORC thanks Evercore. We are filled with anticipation, building on this meaningful partnership in the future,” she said. “Together, we showed the PCA team exactly how Life’s WORC represents its values — especially our responsibility to one another and our commitment to working as a team where we learn and grow together. The efforts on display reflected the very best of who we are and what we stand for.”
