Garden City Students Win Prestigious Award From Adelphi University
Seven juniors at Garden City High School received the university's Prize for Leadership Award.

GARDEN CITY, NY — Several juniors from Garden City High School were awarded for their academic achievement and volunteer community service.
Kayla Cherney, Daniel Curley, Isabella Fuertes, Sarah Phinney, Jisha Samuel, XinXin Tu and Sarah Tusiani-Eng received the Adelphi University Prize for Leadership award.
Each winner takes home a $1,000 prize, along with an inscribed trophy and the opportunity to enroll as a commuter in the summer pre-college program tuition free this summer.

The award also includes Adelphi University library privileges and an invitation to attend an event in honor of a leading scholar, artist or political figure who will visit the university in the 2025 academic year.
Each winner also qualifies for the Adelphi Advantage Award if they matriculate to the university.
