Girl Scouts of Nassau County announced that Hempstead resident Sedgwick Easley has been elected to serve on Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Board of Directors through 2027. Sedgwick Easley was officially sworn in during the organization’s 60th Annual Meeting, held at Nassau Community College in Garden City. The Board of Directors is comprised of lifelong Girl Scouts, community leaders, and nonprofit and corporative executives who provide leadership, innovation and support to the Council and guide the organization’s vision and mission.

“Our Board of Directors is made up of passionate leaders who believe in the power of Girl Scouting to inspire and uplift the next generation,” said Randell Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “I am eager to see this group of leaders inspire and shape the Girl Scout experience in their terms. I am confident they will help to fulfill our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character.”

Board members work together to provide strategic leadership and foster opportunities that help girls throughout Nassau County develop courage, confidence, and character. They also play a vital role in supporting fundraising efforts that expand access to Girl Scout programs that empower girls socially, academically, and emotionally.
