Man Chased, Stabbed Multiple Times After Nassau Car Crash: Police
Rashawn Marquez was arrested and faces charges that include second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault, police said.
LAKEVIEW, NY — A Lakeview man was arrested for attempted murder early Sunday in Franklin Square, police said.
Police responded to a Franklin Street residence for 20-year-old male victim who had multiple lacerations to his body, authorities said.
The victim was involved in an earlier car accident when an unknown person followed him and a physical altercation took place, police said.

The victim was stabbed multiple times with an unknown sharp object. He was transported to a local area hospital for further treatment and evaluation where he is currently listed in stable condition, police said.
After an investigation, police placed Rashawn Marquez, 34, under arrest without further incident, authorities said.

He is charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
Marquez was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
