Man In Critical Condition After Jewelry Pulls Him To MRI Machine In Nassau: Police

WESTBURY, NY — A man is in critical condition after suffering a medical episode at Nassau Open MRI location in Westbury, police said.

The 61-year-old victim entered a room where a Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan was in progress on Wednesday afternoon. A large metallic chain around his neck caused the man to be drawn into the machine. The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to an area hospital, police said.

Police are investigating.
