Man Dies After Getting Pulled Into An MRI Machine By His Jewelry: Police
The 61-year-old had been in critical condition after the Wednesday afternoon incident in Westbury, but has died, police say.
WESTBURY, NY — A man who was critically injured after being pulled into an MRI machine in Westbury has died, police said.
The 61-year-old victim, who hasn't been identified, had entered a room at a Nassau Open MRI location where a scan was in progress on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The victim, who died on Thursday afternoon, was wearing a large metallic necklace chain, which caused him to be drawn into the machine, resulting in a medical episode, police said.
