Motorcyclist Killed In Crash; Other Driver Fled: Nassau PD
Police say they are looking for the driver of a 2020 Kia who fled the scene after a 57-year-old man was killed in a crash.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car Wednesday night in Hempstead, and Nassau County police are looking for the driver.
According to police, a 57-year-old man was driving a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle south on Baldwin Road at 9:55 p.m. when he was in a collision with a 2020 Kia that was making a left turn onto Lawson Street.
The motorcyclist suffered serious head and body trauma, and was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.

The driver of the Kia fled the scene on foot, heading west on Lawson Street. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
