Nassau Community College Hosts New York State Legislative Breakfast

Nassau Community College (NCC) hosted its annual Legislative Breakfast on Friday, Feb. 7, with State elected officials and staff members who represent legislative districts in Nassau County, including members of the Assembly, Senate, and Governor’s Office.

NCC Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Maria Conzatti and other college leaders met with state elected officials to discuss the need for increased state funding for community colleges. The event, held on the NCC campus, featured remarks from college leadership, students, administrators, and elected officials.

Speakers included Dr. Conzatti; Dr. Jorge L. Gardyn, Chair of the NCC Board of Trustees; Dr. Jerry Kornbluth, Vice President of Community and Government Relations at NCC; and Jessialy Avilez, President of the NCC Student Government Association (SGA).
