Robbery At Knifepoint Outside LI Middle School: Police

The 13-year-old victim had his sweatshirt forcibly removed by another boy, police said.

UNIONDALE, NY — A teenage boy was robbed at knifepoint on Thursday afternoon at a school in Uniondale, police said.

A robbery took place on the soccer field of Turtle Hook Middle School at 2 p.m., authorities said.

An underaged boy was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds and second-degree menacing.

The 13-year-old boy was approached by the defendant, who displayed a knife and then forcibly removed the victim's sweatshirt before fleeing, police said.

He was located a short time later by officers and was arrested without incident. He was expected to be arraigned on Friday in Family Court.
