Roosevelt Field Employee Robbed at Gunpoint

The victim was walking to her car after finishing her shift Tuesday night, cops said.

A mall employee was robbed at gunpoint as she walked to her car at Roosevelt Field Tuesday night, according to Nassau County Police.

At 9:15 p.m., the 25-year-old victim was walking to her car after finishing her shift inside the East Garden City mall, cops said. On the way to her car, a woman with a handgun approached her and demanded money, police said. The victim cooperated and handed $110 in cash to the woman, who fled on foot and was seen in one of the mall’s parking garages, cops said.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.

Police described the woman as black, 6-foot, 250 pounds, and had shoulder length black hair. She was wearing a dark blue t-shirt, light colored pants, and a dark baseball cap at the time. The handgun she was carrying was black.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
