GARDEN CITY, NY — A blood drive will take place this month at Roosevelt Field.
People can donate blood on Thursday, July 31. The event takes place from 12:30-6 p.m. in the mall's North Court, below the food court, the New York Blood Center (NYBC) said on its website.

Basic requirements to donate blood include:
- 17 years or older (16 with a parent or guardian’s written consent)
- Weigh at least 110 pounds
- Symptom-free for at least 72 hours following cold or flu
