The national chain is currently hiring for two new locations, the first two on Long Island for the health-oriented fast casual brand.

GARDEN CITY, NY — Sweetgreen is a national fast casual chain that's branded as a healthier alternative to fast food. The company hasn't yet forayed onto Long Island, although there are numerous Sweetgreens across New York City. Now, the company has posted job openings for two new stores in Woodbury and Garden City, but has not yet confirmed the new restaurants.

Sweetgreen, which went public in 2021, was founded in 2007 and now has 150 restaurants in over a dozen states. The chain bills its menu as "fresh, plant-forward, earth friendly food." The eateries serve warm bowls with proteins as well as customizable salad bowl meals.

On the company's website, as well as other job boards, there are current listings for a restaurant manager for a new restaurant opening in Woodbury. There are also job openings at a Garden City new restaurant on the Sweetgreen website and LinkedIn.com.
