Transit Changes Coming To Syosset, Surrounding Communities
The NICE Mini ridesharing program ends Friday, but bus options will remain.
GARDEN CITY, NY — NICE (Nassau Inter-County Express) Bus has announced that its NICE Mini pilot ridesharing program is ending in Syosset. The final day is on Friday.
Bus service will continue in Syosset, East Norwich, Woodbury, northern portions of Plainview and Hicksville on regular fixed NICE routes.
Officials said they use the ridership data from the nine-month pilot program to fine tune bus service for those communities.

NICE will continue is NICE MINI South Shore Corridor route, which began in 2022 as a reliable and cost-efficient alternative to private on-demand ride services, and is studying other pilot program areas moving forward.
