NASSAU COUNTY, NY — In the race for the 13th Assembly District, incumbent Democrat Charles Lavine has defeated Republican challenger Ruka Anzai.

Newsday called the race for Lavine, who had 22,111 votes to Anzai's 18,504 in unofficial results.

The 13th Assembly District includes Roslyn, Sea Cliff, Glen Cove, Bayville, Centre Island, Cove Neck, Woodbury, Syosset, Plainview, Jericho and Westbury.
