2 Locust Valley High School Seniors Named Heisman Scholarship Winners
Jack Baker and Payton Tini were recognized for their athletic and academic achievements and for contributing to their community.

LOCUST VALLEY, NY — Two Locust Valley High School Seniors were named as Heisman High School Scholarship School Winners, the district announced.
Jack Baker and Payton Tini received the award based on a combination of academic achievement, athletics and involvement in their community. Students must have over a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate a commitment to making a difference locally.
Baker plays football and baseball for Locust Valley. He volunteered as an ambassador of the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation, the former New York Rangers goalie's organization that helps single mothers with newborn babies.

Tini plays varsity soccer, basketball and lacrosse. She also coaches a local fifth-grade basketball team at St. Gertrude’s Church in Bayville.
“Jack and Payton epitomize what it means to be a Locust Valley Falcon,” Danielle Turner, the school's athletic director said.
