3 New Jersey Men Tried To Steal BMW At Roslyn Heights Home: Police

ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NY — Police say three New Jersey men tried to steal a BMW from a driveway in Roslyn Heights on Tuesday.

At 1:40 a.m., the trio attempted to start the car on Field Lane but were unable to, and took a jacket from the car before fleeing. They were then located on the Long Island Expressway in a Pontiac G6, and were stopped for a traffic violation, Nassau Police's Third Squad reported, and arrested.

Tyquan Meadows, 24 from Newark, Nasir Solomon, 18 from East Orange and Nasir Usher, 23 from South Orange, are charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and attempted larceny in the second degree. Meadows is also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
