Adam Sandler Movie Films In Glen Cove This Week

Other movie stars set to be in the film are Chris Rock and Steve Buscemi.

Some famous faces may be seen in Glen Cove while the cast and crew for a Netflix movie films in the area.

"The Week Of," starring Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Steve Buscemi and others, will be using the Church of St. Rocco, located at 18 3rd St., as a base camp during filming, according to the church.

There will be no filming on the property, however, and St. Rocco's will not be featured in the film, Fr. Ambros Boyd, from the Church of St. Rocco, said in an email.

"We are delighted that many parts of Glen Cove will be featured and are very happy to be behind the scenes as the movie is filmed," Boyd said.

"The Week Off" is set to be released in 2018. The movie is about the parents of an engaged couple who are in the final week of preparations for the wedding, according to IMDB. In the movie, Sandler's daughter is set to marry Rock's son.

Nextflix says the movie will be filming at various locations on Long Island this summer.

Sandler is directing the film alongside Saturday Night Live writer Kevin Smigel.

This film is part of the four-movie deal Sandler has with Netflix, which has resulted in the movies "The Ridiculous 6," "The Do-Over" and "Sandy Wexle."

Rock and Sandler have previously teamed up to star in the movies "Grown Ups" and "Grown Ups 2."

This isn't the first time the local church has gotten attention from a film crew. The CBS sitcom "Kevin Can Wait," starring Long Island native Kevin James, filmed at the Church of St. Rocco in February.

The Church of St. Rocco has a busy month ahead. On July 30, St. Rocco's Feast begins. The popular feast features live music and entertainment, rides, games for kids, raffle prizes and a wide variety of food. Read more about the event here.

Glen Cove has become a destination of choice for movies and television shows. In September 2016, Scarlett Johansson filmed a movie at Glen Cove Chemists.
